For all of you wave hungry gulfcoasters, there is finally a way for you to be able to get in the water on a consistent basis. If you love surfing, you basically have 3 options in the summertime to do what you love. Best Option 1: Move to central America for the next 3 months (or Indo). 2: Come by the shop and buy a skimboard, or get all the training you need on a Stand Up Paddler. You can not only get a killer core workout but you also improve balance. You're able to surf that incoming tide mix with afternoon sea breeze swell that you've always looked at and said, "damn! If it was only a foot or two bigger". Enjoy other parts of Florida like the springs at Crystal River near Ocala, which is a killer paddle... Or if you've got the guts, land yourself a 100 lb tarpon off the thing! We are fully getting stocked up will all the SUP things you need. Boards from Donald Takayama, Laird, Dave Kalama models, as well as Bonga Perkins. Multiple paddles to choose from and boards ranging from 9'10-12'0. From boards that could be surfable at 2XX over head points to 'distance paddlers' that could take on a journey from St. Pete to Sarasota. WE have THE boards. I visited the Compound today and man, I was blown away. They are fully stocked and ready to go for the season. Some amazing deals also. The Compound cash is really gonna work out for a lot of people. It goes like this: For every $100.00 you spend at the Compound they give you $25 to go towards a future purchase. So if you need a board or just getting ready to buy gifts or do some shopping, check them out because they've got it going on. They have some really sick longboards by Mayo and others that are priced really low. They have these Sharp Eye quads that are just so sick. I picked one up and I said 'Jake, this is epoxy, right?" and he said "no". They are just so light, tough and tricked out. They have a 5'11 quad that is just off the hook. You better go get it because if you don't, I will. They've got tons of great shapes by JS and Merrick. Lots of good boards for the GC, like not too skinny and thin, just a touch fuller and hippy which is great for Florida waves. You gotta check them out. They have lots of new rubber from the 1.5mm tops by O'neill, Billabong and Volcom to the new Psycho 2 fullsuits, they are loaded.
